Who am I?
I’m Justin Gregg, a singer-songwriter blending country, soft rock, blues, and indie influences. I write music that captures life’s highs and lows, moments of healing, and the messy beauty of growth.
I grew up surrounded by music—learning piano first, but always dreaming of playing guitar. For my 12th birthday, my parents gave me my first Fender acoustic, and I took lessons for a few years (shoutout to Mr. Pinkosoff!). I was raised on country legends like Brad Paisley, Garth Brooks, and George Strait, while also soaking up the sounds of Elvis Presley, The Beatles, The Eagles, and Switchfoot.
Even as a kid, I was drawn to creating my own music. I remember making songs using GarageBand samples and burning them to CDs for friends and family—the first time I realized what recording could do. My love for language in school naturally evolved into poetry, stories, and eventually my own songs.
Over the years, I’ve learned to play guitar, piano, and electric bass, with functional knowledge of drums, and I’ve dabbled with harmonica, mandolin, ukulele, and banjo. Around 2021, I began building my own recording setup and teaching myself Ableton. It’s been a fast, rewarding journey—one of experimentation, learning, and growth. While I’m by no means a master, every project has brought me closer to the sound and craft I’ve been chasing.
My music now blends country, soft rock, indie, and singer-songwriter influences, shaped by both life experiences and the skills I’ve developed in the studio. Each song is an attempt to capture a moment, an emotion, or a story—a record of where I am and where I’m going.
